
David Martin has worked as presenter, journalist and editor in commercial and BBC radio for 20 years and developing others has been central to his career.
David spent six years as a Senior Instructor for BBC Training and Development developing and delivering a wide range of courses in journalism and craft skills in London. David trained BBC staff in web writing and related applications as a senior producer with the new media team that rolled out 50 BBC Websites across English Regions and was Training Manager to Project England leading the teams replacing analogue for digital editing and playout systems across radio and television for all BBC local and regional premises.
David became Managing Editor BBC Radio Berkshire in 2003 and Managing Editor BBC Guernsey in 2004. In 2007 BBC Guernsey won Radio Academy Regional Station of the Year and a Sony station of the year nomination. The station had highest share of listening of any BBC Local Radio station. In 2008 David left the BBC to start his own company providing consultancy and media training to educational organisations, government agencies and business.
David has a joint honours degree in Psychology, Sociology and Philosophy from City University in London and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Bradford.
David is a member of the Radio Academy and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
